Meet new Gi2C Finance Intern Tomas from Italy and Argentina!

b2ap3_thumbnail_image002_20150116-073023_1.jpg Before becoming a new Gi2C finance intern in China, Tomas studied economics and international politics in Italy and Switzerland. Over the past three decades, he has had the opportunity to live in different countries, which provided him with an interesting perspective on life. Tomas will be interning in Shanghai at a finance company. He told us he can draw upon previous work experience in the field but looks forward to learning about China and getting more of the necessary financial know-how that all astute finance professionals need. Tomas chose China because he has friends that have worked here and they said great things about working in Shanghai. He also is fearless to live abroad because he has lived in numerous countries before which is...

Why intern in China? - By Brian K.

b2ap3_thumbnail_image002_20141018-091506_1.png I am from LeMars, Iowa, USA. While growing up, I was involved in many organizations such as Boy Scouts and 4-H. I am currently 22 years old and have had the opportunity to travel many places. Over the last 4 years, I completed college at Iowa State University with a major in Finance and Accounting. I will be interning at a network finance company in Beijing. My job description includes investor relations, customer service, and supporting the business development and sales teams. China is a diverse landscape and its economy has expanded quickly. I do not have many contacts in China and hope to...

Internship Placements: Sebastian Armstrong (Winchester, UK)

Sebastian Armstrong had only been in Beijing for just over 24 hours when he arrived at the Get in2 China office for his internship placement. The towering 21-year old from Winchester, UK was battling jet-lag, fatigue, and the general sense of confusion that accompanies all interns first few days in this chaotic city. Still, he looked ready to go. As a Masters Student pursuing an advanced degree in Maths from a little University called Cambridge (you may have heard of it), Sebastian's impressive credentials allowed him to participate in a highly focused technical internship in the Finance and Investment fields. When asked to describe his impression of Beijing in one word as we shuffled into an overcrowded subway car en route to meet with the company he would be placed in, Sebastian responded, "vibrant." When asked what he ate for dinner last night - his first night in Beijing - Sebastian...
