Our Gi2C Group Shanghai interns checked out the Urban Planning Museum last week. It’s not your typical museum as it allows you to have a Godzilla perspective of a mini-sized Shanghai! The model shows not only existing structures but also future buildings. Shanghai has changed so much in the past 20 years, it’s ridiculous, and seeing where the city is headed is even more exciting! We hope our interns will stick around and work in China long-term to be apart of and contribute to this rapidly developing city and country.
"Undoubtedly, the Urban Planning Exhibition Center, both outside and inside, is what one refers to as splendor of the mind.
I had the chance of joyfully observing the scale model of Shanghai, a delightful garden of steel and concrete, so immense and diverse for the eye to capture at once. Also, I found visual fascination in how Shanghai has evolved over time, and what its city developers are hoping for the future. It was a good reminder that imagination is what allows for greatness, both dark and bright, yet all beautiful."
