October 4th, 2012 - UC Davis Study and Intern Abroad Fair
Never in my life have I seen a more active and engaged student populace. I am an alumni of one of the largest - and what I consider one of the liveliest - Universities in the U.S., The Ohio State University. Our community of 60,000+ students in Columbus tend to be pretty involved, but the level of involvement and overall energy on the campus of UC Davis was on an entirely different level.
As we were still in the midst of this California heat wave, things really heated up during the early afternoon. Outside in the main Quad, students were buzzing to and from class on bicycles, scooters, longboards, skateboards, roller blades, and other modes of transportation. There was a food truck dishing out free gelato while fraternities and sororities blasted music in the sunshine to attract interested candidates.
It was only the first week of fall semester for UC Davis students and the campus pulsed with excitement.
In terms of numbers, this was probably Get in2 China's most successful event. Throughout the course of the day, we received more than 200 inquiries from students interested in gaining industry-specific work experience in China. We talked to other study abroad and intern abroad program providers, and they all seemed equally impressed with the student body of UC Davis.
Before heading down the coast to visit UC Santa Cruz, we stopped and spend a day in an incredibly beautiful, diverse, and dynamic city by the Bay - San Francisco. Below we have included some of our travel photos from our time in the Bay Area:

We owe a huge amount of thanks to the staff at UC Davis, specifically Blake Cooper. You guys were amazing!
See you next year!
